Recognizing the need for greater technical knowledge across the industry, ICT is organizing an intensive online Knowledge Sharing Session focused on “Silicon Nitride Ball Technology – From Raw Material to High-Performance Bearings.” The program is designed to bring together industrial experience and practical manufacturing know-how, providing participants with a complete overview of the Silicon Nitride ball production chain.
The two-session masterclass will cover key stages ranging from Silicon Nitride material properties and powder selection to manufacturing, Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), grinding, lapping and polishing. Participants will also gain insights into quality standards, inspection techniques, defect analysis and the manufacturing challenges that can influence ball performance and bearing reliability.
Beyond production technology, the program will explore industrial applications and best practices for evaluating suppliers of ceramic components. This makes the training particularly relevant for bearing manufacturers, ceramic ball producers, quality and production managers, process engineers, R&D and design teams, new product development professionals and purchasing specialists.
The program will be conducted by Giuseppe Panaccione, an industry professional with more than 32 years of experience in bearing and bearing-component manufacturing. His practical involvement in Silicon Nitride ball manufacturing, including establishing production facilities and developing an extensive international network within the global bearing industry, brings valuable real-world expertise to the program.
